WIDE RECEIVERS
Marvin Harrison
took the top spot by garnering 12 of the 15 first-place votes. He was
closely followed by Terrell Owens and Randy Moss, both of whom
were ranked no worse than third. Eric Moulds and Joe Horn
finished a solid fourth and fifth, respectively, but there was
a significant
gap between Moulds and Moss.
After the top five, there was a good deal of disagreement, as 23 other players
received top-15 votes. Interestingly, youngsters Koren Robinson
(10th),
Donald Driver (12th), and Chad Johnson (14th)
finished ahead of established veterans such as Jimmy Smith (17th),
Rod Smith (18th), Issac Bruce (20th),
and Jerry Rice (21st).
A
number of experts went out on a limb, with the most notable predictions
being Johnson ranked fifth by Krueger, Derrick Mason ranked fifth by
Houston, Chris Chambers ranked ninth by Lawrence, and Daunte’
Stallworth ranked eleventh by Norton.
